PROGRESSIVE CEO GLENN RENWICK SORRY FOR SPYING ON CHURCH GOERS.
Progressive Corp Chief Executive Glenn Renwick apologized for the use of private detectives, who went undercover to join an Atlanta church group in order to discredit a couple suing the insurer.
“What the investigators and Progressive people did was wrong – period,” Renwick, head of the third-largest U.S. auto insurer, said in a statement. “I personally want to apologize to anyone who was affected by this.”

I am also a road kill of Progressive insurance. When a 2.5 ton truck crashed through my bedroom at 45 mph, progressive insurance agents harassed me with phone calls and letters accusing me of being a fraud. I fought with them for 3 years and wanted to take my case to trial, but they paid thousands of dollars to professional witnesses like doctors and accident reconstructionist to lie. My doctors are not professional witnesses, they are good doctors. The tactics Progressive uses are criminal.

I do not personally know the person who’s video this is, but I can tell you that it is not BS. Only when it happens to you or someone you know will you believe it. Visit a physical therapy center and talk(if they can still talk) with some of the injured people and Physical Therapists and they will confirm this. By the insurance companies not paying for legitimate claims, the medical costs + living costs for the injured will fall on to the taxpayers. A fact.

Well, I lost my home, my credit has been destroyed and I have no medical help from Progressive for my injuries. Although the law in Michigan is that your own insurance company has to pay for medical for life for the injuries you received in a car accident. What a joke.

According to my Progressive “underinsurance” policy(which I wasn’t aware of ), I have to have Progressive’s permission to accept the other driver’s insurance policy limits in order to file suit for my underinsurance policy. Guess what their answer is? NO!

What a surprise. How they can get away with this is beyond me.
Having racked up thousands of dollars in medical bills from my own health insurance and Medicaid, not to mention thousands more in legal fees, all of which have to paid back from any settlement I receive, I will literally end up with nothing if I win this case.

Now more legal fees will be added to continue to fight them. Depositions from Drs(I do know one of my Dr’s fees for giving a deposition and trial testimony is $1250 per hour) + expert and trial costs.
Progressive would rather pay high-paying attorneys to win their cases(even if it means paying more for the attorneys than what the settlement amount would have been) instead of losing a case.
Have already have to pay(1/2) for 2 types of mediation that is non-binding.

Insurance companies here in Michigan have it made because of the crooked “Gang of Four” on the Michigan Supreme Court, which has made it impossible for many seriously injured victims to sue and recover benefits. Many attorneys have told me these 4 Judges have pocketed a lot of money from insurance companies to change the law in favor of insurance companies and after all the research I have done on them, they are right.

Cat converter was stoolen from 98 4Runner CA Emision vehicle. Currently there is no direct fit A/M market Cat 4 this car. They insist on weld on a cheap A/M for about $300 include part and labor. I told progressive that this won’t bring my vehicle back to preaccident condition. Their excuse was that my vehicle is a 1998 vehicle and it is old. They’re not going to buy me a 2008 catalytic converter. they told me I am on my own.

Progressive Insurance DOES SUCK!!! I’ve had them about 25 years, and yet when a woman hits me where I am stopped (she was talking on the phone and looking off to the side even – I watched her approach and slam into me), they paid her and upped my rates because it was more profitable. They didn’t even tell me they did it – I got to find out a year after I’d been paying them. Note well the cop on scene said the driver would have been charged if not on a private lot, so she couldn’t charge anyone.

Thanks for your comments, yes, I’ve read all of the comments by Progressive Insurance and their Chop Shops written by Progressive Employees in JobVent and they support what you have said. There is also a big lawsuit against Progressive on the alleged basis that they force policyholders to go to Progressive Chop Shops for shoddy/cheap repairs. Obviously you have a lot of integrity and professionalism — wish you all the best.

i work at a progressive direct repair shop,they write there own estimate for used parts that look like there off derby cars sometimes.my boss knows its wrong but he has to suck there balls for brownie points to get more work in.if you dont go to one of there repair shops they make sure to put you on the back burnner and make it .even something mighty as the persian empire fell.i just hope in mylifetime i get to see progressive fall to there knees in lawsuits and shame

I am currently fighting Progressive Michigan Insurance for severe injuries I sustained in a rear-end collision. They are fighting me on this. I’ve lost my home, good credit rating(unpaid medical bills) and am about to become homeless. They are hiring Drs to lie on medical reports that there is nothing wrong. Since I probably won’t receive any compensation from Progressive insurance, guess who will be paying for my medical needs, food stamps, shelter, etc…? You, the taxpayers. Sorry.

Progressive, what a great company to work for! They laid me off and about 1,200 other after many years of work. A few weeks ago they bough the rights to the old Jacobs Field, now Progressive field for 3 mil. I got the last laugh, they paid me a month and a half of salary for a relocation plan that never happened. I got a new job 30. that Kiwi,Renwick!

I listened to a call between a shop owner & his igned adjuster and in one breath was trying to get a car pulled from this shop to one of theirs but then said “you know where I’d take my car if I wrecked it..to you!” When he speaks as an employee he tows the company line (delay/deny/lie) but when he speaks as a consumer its a different tune.

Wrong. Progressive does have an obligation to their shareholders. They also have an obligation to POLICY HOLDERS. In fact a contratual obligation that they break on a daily basis. I’m in the auto collision business for over 25 years. I’m sitting here right now with a file next to me that is being handled by Progressive, I can’t wait to hear all the “we don’t pay for that” lines that will come out of the adjuster’s mouth tomorrow. If you only knew what I knew, you’d delete your post.

Actually I think you are not describing the situation objectively or in a manner in which it could be judged. It’s certainly possible that Progressive is in there wrong here, but you can’t complain that a company makes money, they have an obligation to their shareholders. Actually most car insurance companies operate at razor slim profit margins or even at a loss and make their money with investments.

Thank you for taking the time to see my video and to comment. Its horrible to realize that Progressive doesn’t consider you, as a policy holder, to be a human being and that they will let you suffer and die like a dog in order for Progressive to make just one more penny of profits.
